BVI to control re-entry at Road Town Jetty Seaport
The BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) has announced that it will control re-entry for International Ferry Passengers through the Road Town Jetty Seaport as it re-opens on April 15.
A press release from the BVIPA said there will be only ONE daily round trip ferry service during the initial period with a maximum of 50 passengers.
The public is being notified that the new international ferry passenger schedule and the seaport option will go live on the BVI Gateway online portal on April 8.
All visitors needs to apply for authorisation.
Likewise, passengers arriving and departing the British Virgin Islands must reserve a ticket with the scheduled ferry operator through their booking portal.
The new international ferry passenger schedule is as follows:
- Monday – Smith’s Ferry
- Tuesday – Road Town Fast Ferry
- Wednesday – Native Son Ferry
- Thursday – Smith’s Ferry
- Friday – Native Son Ferry
- Saturday – Road Town Fast Ferry
All ferries will depart Road Town, Tortola for Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, USVI at 10:00 am and will depart Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas for Road Town, Tortola at 4:00 pm.
BVIPA has also released a video in their official Facebook account for instructions to be followed for arrivals into the islands.
