Dominica welcomes Ruby Express
Dominica welcomed Ruby Express’ inaugural call, the latest addition to the FRS Express fleet. The arrival enhanced the comfort and convenience of travel from Martinique, Saint Lucia, and Guadeloupe.
The high-speed catamaran, featuring 428 seats and premium business class options, guarantees a seamless and elegant travel experience for all guests arriving in Dominica.
The Ministry of Tourism of Dominica announced, “We invite all passengers to take advantage of this ferry service. Just in time for our most significant celebration of the year, the World Creole Music Festival, we are pleased to welcome the Ruby to the FRS Express fleet!” Reserve your ferry and embark on a journey to Dominica for the WCMF, which will take place from October 25 to 27.
The Ruby Express is the largest and most impressive vessel in the FRS Express fleet, providing exceptional services in the Caribbean.
The vessel, constructed in Norway, measures 60 meters long and exemplifies exceptional shipbuilding expertise. The ship accommodates 428 passengers and exemplifies outstanding design performance.
Moritz Bruns, the President of L’EXPRESS DES ILES, articulated his vision, stating that this significant investment signifies the beginning of an ambitious era for the company as it seeks to broaden its reach in the Caribbean Sea.
He stated that this commitment aims to improve the reliability of services on the Marie-Galante route and the international routes to Dominica, Martinique, and Saint Lucia while also fostering growth and employment in the region.
This new vessel joins its sister vessels, Corail Express, Perle Express, and Gold Express, which have capacities of 437, 360, and 446 seats, respectively. This brings the total to 1,671 seats, enhancing travel between the four Caribbean islands and offering more options for a comfortable and luxurious regional experience.
