NHDURCO: “Marble Hill not owned by PM Browne”
Antigua and Barbuda’s National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited (NHDURCO) has denied social media posts that claiming that 10.8 acres of land in the Marble Hill area belongs to Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
In a statement, the state agency said that the information is false.
“National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited wishes to categorically state that this information is false and wishes to place on record that the National Housing Development and Urban Renewal Company Limited is the sole beneficial owner of the lands previously registered to Adams Investment Management of Trinidad and Tobago.”
The said property is adjacent to the newly constructed Chinese Embassy.
NHDURCO added that the acres of land were transferred to the state agency on 18th April 2016 and is earmarked for housing development for the people of Antigua and Barbuda, with eight (8) commercial lots and eighteen (18) residential lots.
The statement likewise emphasized that the said lands are still in the ownership of National Housing and have not been transferred or sold to anyone including the Hon. Prime Minister Gaston Browne, or any member of his family.
