Saint Lucia confirms 9 new COVID-19 cases
Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs confirm a total of nine (9) new cases of COVID-19 from samples collected from March 3, 2022, to March 5, 2022.
A total of one hundred forty-seven (147) samples were processed Saturday, March 5, 2022. Ninety-six (96) of which were from the Ezra Long Laboratory and fifty-one (51) from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited. The number of positive cases makes up 6.12% of all the samples processed on that date.
The new cases bring the total number of active cases in the country to date to 82.
Three positive cases are currently admitted at the Respiratory Hospital and two of them are critically ill. Meanwhile, 33 individuals have recovered.
The total COVID-19 cases recorded in Saint Lucia is 22,788.
To date, a total of 52, 421 individuals have been fully vaccinated, 5,654 are partially vaccinated and 6,785 have received their booster shot.
Vaccination drive will continue at various Wellness Centres from 9 am to 4 pm.
