SVG Air adds new Wednesday flight between SVG, Carriacou and Grenada
The Grenada Tourism Authority announced the introduction of a new daily service between Grenada and Carriacou every Wednesday, which SVG Air will operate.
This new mid-week service, operated by a 19-seater twin-otter aircraft, will further improve connectivity between the islands, making it easier for travellers to observe the grandeur and culture of Petite Martinique and Carriacou. The service will commence on July 3, 2024.
The new flight will be available weekly, offering an additional travel option in addition to the current Monday, Tuesday, and Friday to Sunday service. This heightened frequency is particularly applicable as summer approaches, with the eagerly anticipated Spicemas festival in August and the recently introduced Carriacou Carnival Cooldown scheduled for the weekend following Spicemas.
“We are improving the travel experience for locals and visitors by introducing this additional flight.” Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, stated, “It enables a greater degree of flexibility and convenience in travelling between our stunning islands.” “This service will be instrumental in expanding our tourism industry, particularly during the holiday season.”

It increases accessibility, promotes local businesses, and attracts more tourists, particularly during festive seasons like Spicemas. This will also undoubtedly provide more flexibility during the recently launched Carriacou Carnival Cooldown. This is a critical step in promoting the cultural richness and distinctive appeal of Petite Martinique and Carriacou.
