Thibaud Primary School construction commenced
The Government of Dominica, in collaboration with the People’s Republic of China, launched the construction phase of the Thibaud Primary School on Wednesday.
Upon completion, the school will serve as a Center of Excellence in Special Education, with additional facilities to foster our children’s talents in sports, culture, science, and the visual and performing arts.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony. Schoolchildren who will benefit from the project were also present.
The new Thibaud Primary School is one of six schools being constructed under the China Aid Project for the Reconstruction of Schools Post-Hurricane Maria.
Through its highly acclaimed Citizenship by Investment Program, the DLP government has partnered with stakeholders in its journey to be the first climate-resilient nation. To date, Dominica has shown that it has built back better through various housing, education, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.
The construction of a new primary school in Mahaut has been completed. Meanwhile, work continues to transform the Dominica Grammar School into a modern, state-of-the-art campus.
