Rotary Club of Dominica announces finals of the 9th Annual National Secondary Schools Literacy Quiz Competition

Release – The Rotary Club of Dominica is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated finals of the 9th Annual National Secondary Schools Literacy Quiz Competition. Scheduled for March 22nd, 2024, at the Prevost Cinemall Ballroom, the event will commence at 2:00 PM.

The six finalist schools competing for top honours include the Dominica Grammar School, St. Mary’s Academy, Orion Academy, Castle Bruce Secondary School, Northeast Comprehensive School, and Convent High School. Expectations are high for an intense and exhilarating competition.

Themed Building Strong Communities through Literacy, the competition aims to encourage youth participation in global literacy initiatives while fostering intellectual stimulation, learning reinforcement, and a love for reading.

The event will be broadcast live on DBS Radio, Emonews Facebook page, Kairi FM Radio and their Facebook page, and the Rotary Club of Dominica’s social media pages (Facebook & YouTube), allowing audiences island-wide to witness the excitement firsthand.

The Rotary Club of Dominica was chartered on July 1, 1974, and is a member of District 7030, which spans from St. Kitts to Suriname. It comprises 75 clubs and over 3,200 Rotarians. The District Governor for the Rotary Year 2023/2024 is Brian Glasgow from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
